Position Overview:
We are seeking a proven leader to serve as our Regional Program Manager, responsible for the success of our city team, programs, and overall client experience across two Philadelphia studios. This role owns city operations end-to-end - setting the standard for training quality, team performance, and day-to-day execution - while leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team. The Regional Program Manager oversees all core services, including Day School, classes, and private lessons; ensures the welfare and progress of every dog in our care; and builds strong, collaborative partnerships with clients to support meaningful training outcomes. This role also mentors and supports staff in other locations, serving as a visible, trusted leader who balances operational excellence with people development and program growth.
Key Responsibilities
Program Development and Implementation:
Assess the specific training needs of each dog, design and develop customized training programs for dogs in our training programs, and guide a team of trainers to implement training.
Utilize integrative and positive reinforcement-based techniques for training and behavior modification.
Teach group classes, clinics, and lessons.Reach organization-set revenue targets monthly.
Training Sessions:
Delegate daily training schedule between all trainers.
Supervise training staff as appropriate.
Conduct daily training sessions with enrolled dogs.
Work on basic obedience commands, behavior modification, and specialized training based on client objectives.
Monitor and record each dog's progress and adjust training as needed.
Client Interaction:
Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on their dogs' progress.
Educate clients on training methods and techniques for reinforcing training at home.
Address client concerns and ensure a positive client experience.
Coach team members on client communication protocol, tone, and objectives.
Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise a team of dog trainers and support staff.
Provide guidance and mentorship to trainers to ensure consistency in training methods.
Conduct performance evaluations and handle disciplinary actions as necessary.
Facility Management:
Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the two city facilities.
Manage equipment and supplies used for training, ensuring they are in good working order.
Oversee the training environment to ensure a secure and stimulating setting for dogs.
Documentation and Reporting:Maintain detailed records of each dog's training progress and behavior assessments.
Prepare training reports and progress summaries for clients.
Manage and report on program revenue.
Schedule
This is an on-site role, Tuesday-Saturday, with flexibility for monthly visits to other locations.
QualificationsProven experience in management and leadership roles, with demonstrated capabilities to build and lead a team.
Proven experience, 4+ years in dog training, behavior modification, and obedience training.
Consistently excellent communication and client service skills.
Understanding of dog behavior and psychology.
Hands-on experience training dogs or a certification in dog training.
Comfortable making thoughtful, independent decisions that align with company goals and values.
Knowledge of canine first aid and CPR is a plus.

THE ROLE: TRAINER
We need a boots-on-the-ground, hands-dirty trainer who can help dogs and their people succeed through:
Training & Behavior Development:
Assess dogs’ behavior and training needs upon entering programs.
Implement behavior plans that build front-brain thinkers, develop impulse control, and create calm, confident dogs.
Train cues, leash skills, polite behaviors, and problem-solve real-world issues with direction from the Program Manager.
Get dogs moving: leash walks, treadmill training, movement games, enrichment walks, and decompression outings.
Help dogs transition from chaos to calm with arousal regulation and real-world pattern games.
Lead group classes, private lessons, and client check-ins at our Old City + East Falls studios.
Client Communication & Coaching:
Keep owners looped in with structured progress updates and guidance.
Coach humans on the dog training lifestyle—because training doesn’t end when the leash is unclipped.
Help clients problem-solve behavior hiccups and make sustainable shifts in how they live with their dog.
Document progress like a pro. Track sessions, wins, and challenges, keeping everything dialed and detailed.
Enrichment & Dog Well-being:
Ensure dogs get what they need: mental work, physical exercise, and decompression.
Create structured enrichment sessions that help dogs work their bodies and minds.
Monitor dog interactions to ensure safe and positive socialization experiences.
Team Player Energy:
Communicate clearly and consistently with the Program Manager and the team.

Experienced: 3+ years of hands-on dog training. Must have training and handling experience.

We seek a dedicated and motivated Assistant Dog Trainer to join our Farm Dog team and support our lead dog trainer in delivering high-quality training programs to our canine clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working with dogs, a desire to learn about dog training techniques, and a commitment to helping dogs achieve their training goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in Training Sessions:
Utilizing a can-do attitude, will work closely with the lead dog trainer during training sessions with dogs and clients, when possible.
Help with obedience training, behavior modification, and socialization exercises.
Utilize integrative and positive reinforcement-based techniques to train and modify behavior safely and effectively.
Provide support in assisting with building communication system, foundation learning with all dogs, and likely e-collar acclimation and repetition building for dogs learning e-collar as a part of our program.
Client Interaction:
Greet clients and assist with check-in procedures.
Answer client questions and provide information about training programs.
Be responsible for follow-up communication and proactively nurturing clients.
Communicate training progress and updates to clients under the guidance of the lead trainer.
Able to work group offerings, including but not limited to Socials, Grad Clinics, Retreats, Meet & Greets, Events, etc.
Animal Care:Hiking, walking, and safe handling and transportation of dogs.
Assist with the care and well-being of dogs during training sessions, including feeding, providing water, and monitoring their health and behavior.Administer treatments as directed by the lead trainer or veterinarian.
Ensure that training areas and equipment are clean and organized.
Responsible for handling enrichment dogs and hikes.
Exercise and Playtime:Help create and implement enrichment activities to engage dogs.
Assist in organizing and supervising group play sessions, ensuring safe and positive interactions.
Provide exercise and playtime for dogs to meet their physical and mental stimulation needs as created by the Program Manager.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of each dog's training progress, dietary needs, and health status.
Document any unusual behavior or concerns for review by the lead trainer.
Assist in tracking training equipment and supplies.
Safety and Protocol Adherence:
Follow safety protocols to ensure the well-being of dogs and staff.
Respond promptly to any safety or security concerns.
Be prepared to assist in emergency situations and follow established procedures.
Qualifications:
Minimum two years working professionally as animal trainer
Passion for working with dogs and a strong desire to learn about dog training techniques.
Basic knowledge of positive reinforcement training methods
Excellent communication and client relations skills.
Physical fitness and the ability to handle dogs of various sizes and energy levels.
Willingness to learn and take direction from the lead dog trainer or program manager.
Knowledge of canine health and first aid is a plus.

About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable, dog-loving teammate to help our pups get where they need to be - safely, happily, and with plenty of love along the way. You’ll be the friendly face (and skilled driver!) making our city and farm programs accessible to our urban clients.
This is a part-time, as-needed role, perfect for someone who loves dogs, enjoys a flexible schedule, and wants to be part of a team that works for the dog. Hours are scheduled based on demand, and there is no guaranteed minimum, making it ideal for someone looking for flexibility.
What You’ll Do
Old City Studio Pickups (Tue-Thu)
Pick up dogs from clients’ homes within a 2-mile radius and bring them to the studio.
Drop them back home after their sessions.
Keep every pup safe, comfortable, and happy during transport.
City ↔ Farm Transportation (Sun-Mon)
Drive our van to transport dogs between the city and our farm location.
Ensure all dogs are secured, comfortable, and stress-free during longer trips.
Communicate clearly with the team and clients about timing, arrivals, or any concerns.
Dog Handling & Safety
Confidently manage dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
Keep transitions smooth and calm, both in city pickups and longer van rides.
Operational Support
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle(s).
Track pickups, drop-offs, and any notable observations about the dogs.
Notify the team of any behavior, health, or client feedback.
What We’re Looking For

A valid driver’s license and access to a personal car for city pickups, plus the ability to drive our company van safely for farm transport.
Strong communication skills with both humans and pups.

Physical Requirements
