Welcome to your dog’s next big adventure.

Farm Dog®: Where dogs get the exercise, socialization, and biological fulfillment they need to truly thrive—so they can be their best back in the city (or anywhere).

Dogs don’t just need training—they need a life that makes sense to them. A chance to feel fulfilled, to tap into their instincts, to be dogs. That’s what Farm Dog® is all about.

Farm Dog®is OpBarks Behavior & Training’s off-leash, immersive adventure day program, designed to give your city dog a taste of country life. We transport dogs from our city van stops to our private, fenced acreage, where they enjoy trail hikes, playful romps with friends, a dip in the creek, and build better behaviors through off-leash recall training.

The best part?
Your dog goes home bone-tired and better behaved, because while they’re with us, we’re reinforcing manners and teaching off-leash recall.

Farm Dog is designed to give your dog what they were made for: movement, learning, freedom, and the skills to safely navigate adventure alongside you.

• Trail Trust: Reliable recall when it matters most—because “Come!” has to work when rabbits are running.

• Pack Harmony: Your dog learns to move with a group, practicing social fluency and impulse control alongside trusted mentor dogs.

• Freedom With Boundaries: Off-leash freedom rooted in skill—because fulfillment doesn’t mean a free-for-all.

• Adventure-Ready Manners: Loading up, waiting calmly, checking in—your dog learns the little things that make big (and everyday) adventures smooth

How Does Your Dog Join Farm Dog?

1. Schedule an Evaluation Day

The magic begins with a day-long evaluation where we can spend time with your pup and acclimate them to the farm. The evaluation day allows our team to get to know your dog on a deeper level and to make a customized recommendation for the length of your Farm Dog Ready Training program.

2. Begin “Farm Dog Ready” Training

If all goes well on the Evaluation Day, we will begin your training program. We will tell you the length of your program, and typically, this is 2-3 weeks for most dogs, coming T-W-R-F.

3. Farm Dog Membership

When your dog graduates from the training portion of the program, they can come back for Membership. Our Mentor Membership pups have full pack access, are remote collar trained, and work to help future program pups learn the ropes.
Our Enrichment Membership dogs prefer smaller group hikes, are intact (over 1 year old), or need more fine-tuning around distractions.

What’s a Farm Dog Day Like?

While you do your thing, we do ours: trail walks, recall drills, social practice, group manners, trail hikes, epic UTV chases, making creek bed mud pies, stick fetching, looking for that field mouse they’ll never find, and structured downtime—all in a day’s work for your dog. They end the day enriched, confident, and ready for a tuck in (and your next adventure together).
We update you on not only how the day went but also the little things that may need a little work, things to keep an eye one and places where we can boost your dog’s skill set.

Here’s the Flow:
Drop off your dog at our Old City or East Falls Bus stops or directly at our farm near Quakertown. While you are doing your thing, we train your dog and then loop you with one-on-one sessions. This is a highly collaborative program where we bring you up to speed on what your dog has learned so you can integrate this successfully into your life and big adventures.

Farm Dog Training Includes

  • Daylong structured training Tuesday through Friday, 8-9 am drop off and 5-6 pm pick up

  • Indoor and outdoor training work for manners and recall

  • Experienced mentor dogs to facilitate socialization and to work around dogs in training

  • Nature hikes on our trails and play on our acreage

  • Off-Leash Recall Programs include a remote collar with a 1/2-mile range

This Is For You If:

  • You want to give your dog freedom, but you need it to be safe.

  • You want to see your dog biologically fulfilled, not just “tired”.

  • You’d love to learn to confidently hike on a long line or off leash but would love the support to build the skill set.

  • You love your pup and know they need more than a quick city stroll.

  • You need help building a dog who can adventure with you—reliably.

  • You believe in putting in the work because a skilled dog opens doors (and trails).

This Is Not:

  • A free-for-all pack hike where your dog learns bad habits.

  • A shortcut. We train for capability, and capability takes work.

Raising a dog is one thing.

Raising a dog who can call off a squirrel chase, confidently hike off-leash, run with a pack, and return to you every time?

That’s a Farm Dog®

I wish there was an option to give more than 5 stars. I can not say enough good things about Opportunity Barks.

“I have always been skeptical of dog training, given the high cost, multiple training strategies and styles, and inability to guarantee results. After doing a lot of research, I reached out to OP after reading the customer reviews. After the initial intake call, my concerns were quickly eased. I knew my dog and I would be in good hands, given their amazing success record. They did not disappoint! My dog has completed his four-week training course, but we continue to go to the farm weekly! One of the most appealing parts of their program to me was the ability to receive top-notch training followed by a daycare and enrichment opportunity. I wanted my dog to get exercise and socialization in a safe place that will continue to positively enforce his training and newly learned skills. I have received so many observations from friends, family, and neighbors about the positive change in his behavior, how well-mannered he is, and how well he walks on his leash. Opportunity Barks was extremely flexible and accommodating working with my busy and chaotic schedule to help me schedule training sessions. I would say the training is definitely worth it! I recommend Opportunity Barks to my friends, colleagues, and other dog parents that I meet. I am so thankful that I found OP, and I am so glad my dog loves his time at the farm!”
