Welcome to your dog’s next big adventure.
Farm Dog®: Where dogs get the exercise, socialization, and biological fulfillment they need to truly thrive…so they can be their best back in the city (or anywhere).
Farm Dog is our off-leash, immersive adventures, designed to give your city dog a taste of country life. In the country, they enjoy trail hikes, playful romps with friends, a dip in the creek, and build better behaviors.
The best part? Your dog goes home bone-tired and better behaved, because while they’re with us, we’re reinforcing manners and off-leash recall.
Farm Dog is designed to give your dog what they were made for: movement, learning, freedom, and the skills to safely navigate adventure alongside you.
• Trail Trust: Reliable recall when it matters most, because “Come!” has to work when rabbits are running.
• Pack Harmony: Your dog learns to move with a group, practicing social fluency and impulse control alongside trusted mentors.
• Freedom With Boundaries: Off-leash freedom rooted in skill, because fulfillment doesn’t mean a free-for-all.
• Adventure-Ready Manners: Loading up, waiting calmly, checking in…your dog learns the little things that make big (and everyday) adventures smooth.
How to join Farm Dog?
1. Schedule an Evaluation Day
The magic begins with a day-long evaluation where we can spend time with your pup and acclimate them to the farm. The evaluation day allows our team to get to know your dog on a deeper level and to make a customized recommendation for the length of your Farm Dog Ready Training program.
2. Begin Training
If all goes well on the Evaluation Day, we will begin your program. We will tell you the length of your program; typically, it is 2-3 weeks for most dogs, coming T-W-R-F.
3. Membership
When your dog graduates from the training portion of the program, they can come back for Membership. Our Mentor Membership pups have full pack access, are remote collar trained, and work to help future program pups learn the ropes.
Our Enrichment Membership dogs prefer smaller-group hikes, are intact (over 1 year old), or need more fine-tuning with distractions.
What’s a Farm Dog Day Like?
While you do your thing, we do ours: trail walks, recall drills, social practice, group manners, trail hikes, epic UTV chases, making creek bed mud pies, stick fetching, looking for that field mouse they’ll never find, and structured downtime—all in a day’s work for your dog. They end the day enriched, confident, and ready for a tuck-in (and your next adventure together). We update you on not only how the day went but also the little things that may need a little work, things to keep an eye on and places where we can boost your dog’s skill set.
Farm Dog Training Includes
Daylong structured learning Tuesday through Friday, 8-9 am drop off and 5-6 pm pick up
Indoor and outdoor work for manners and recall
Experienced mentor dogs to facilitate socialization
Nature hikes on our trails
Off-leash recall programs include a remote collar with a 1/2-mile range
This Is For You If:
You want to give your dog freedom, but you need it to be safe.
You want to see your dog biologically fulfilled, not just “tired”.
You’d love to learn to confidently hike on a long line or off-leash, but would appreciate the support to build the skill set.
You love your pup and know they need more than a quick city stroll.
You believe in putting in the work because a skilled dog opens doors (and trails).
Raising a dog is one thing.
Raising a dog who can call off a squirrel chase, confidently hike off-leash, run with a pack, and return to you every time?
That’s a Farm Dog®

Opbarks is the best place for your doggo.
“I found Opbarks during my search for puppy classes when we brought home our puppy, but little did I know our relationship with Opbarks would be a lifelong journey. We started with puppy classes to work on the foundations with our pup, and then went on to do a board and train, and now she’s graduated into their adventure Farm Dog program, where she gets to work on neutrality with other doggos and living her best off-leash life, hiking the trails. I recommend Opbarks to everyone looking for a training program for their doggo, whether it's puppy classes or a tune-up for an older pup who needs some refreshers on the basics, Opbarks has something for anyone and their pup. I love knowing that my pup is in great hands with the team at Opbarks and still following the skills and training journey we chose for her. Don’t hesitate signing up for a class or program at opbarks, I promise you won’t regret it!”
