Puppy Socials

Transforming Tiny Alligators into Confident Companions

The challenge with trying to socialize your pup is that you may think it’s all about play and exposure to dogs (not true) or that you must avoid exposure and then figure it out later (also not true). Socials at OpBarks help you to a better understand your pup, how to reading their body language, and show you how to boost their confidence or slow their roll.

What Makes Our Puppy Socials Different

We don't just throw puppies together and hope for the best. That’s not a great plan. Instead, we curate our socials to build curiosity and emotional stability. In our urban studios, we explore indoors and use agility equipment for confidence. At our farm, we start indoors then we hit the trails and explore our outdoors on our fenced acreage. Both of these options are solid for city pups and folks who have outdoor adventures as a long term goal.

What to Expect

  • Confidence Building: We transform new experiences into exciting adventures.

  • Advocacy Training: Learn to read your puppy's signals and become their ultimate support system.

  • Thoughtful Connections: Socialization isn't a free-for-all—it's about meaningful, safe interactions.

Why Socialization Matters

These early experiences are your puppy's preparation foundation. They'll learn to be curious, resilient, and comfortable in new situations, setting the stage for future interactions with dogs and humans. Avoiding the scary stuff doesn’t make it less scary, it just makes them less prepared. And while you can’t possibly expose them to everything early on, we want to stay ahead of the game and build on expanding their range for new and weird.

“The puppy socials were a great way for us to socialize our puppy appropriately and learn how to read their body language. They cap the socials and all puppies must be under 6 months. The trainer helped introduce our timid puppy to other dogs and humans; in just a few socials, he wasn't hiding under chairs anymore and was learning appropriate play manners. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I 100% would!”
